Color is a vehicle that communicates what we want to convey about ourselves: our home, the spaces where we work, our style, our lives. More than a random choice or simple statement of "taste", color is directly wired to our subconscious and has a powerful effect on our moods and emotions, stress levels, productivity, creativity, and overall well-being.

Susannah Monty is a color consultant who possesses an instinctive color sense, which she has drawn upon in her past work as a set designer for television and theatre in her native London. After moving to New York, her emphasis shifted to residential and commercial space color application, specializing in faux finishes and indoor murals, both pictorial and abstract.

Her work ranges in scale from residential to institutional buildings, showrooms and retail environments, to live/work spaces.

Sensitive to the primary importance of space and light challenges, Susannah guides her clients' color choices by working with existing furnishings and decorative objects, fabrics, floor coverings and window treatments, taking into consideration all surfaces and architectural elements to create a palette that works as in integrated whole.

Susannah Monty gives her clients the confidence to meet decorating challenges. Her collaborative style goes far beyond choosing colors; the spaces he or she has chosen and the objects to fill it, and a personally chosen palette to bring it all together.

Susannah sees her recent photography -- studies of color, form and
texture encountered as accidental compositions -- as a natural
extension of her private color-consulting work.
